Northamptonshire - Britain's Best Surprise

Northamptonshire is one of Britain’s best-kept secrets. The county, which boasts the best historic houses in the country as well as a huge array of visitor attractions, chose Bullet PR to help it launch its biggest ever campaign to attract visitors. The campaign, ‘Northamptonshire - Britain’s Best Surprise’, was devised by James Loather, former Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi and Chairman of M&C Saatchi.

Briefed to arrange media coverage around a local launch in Northamptonshire, a trade event at World Travel Market and to organise press trips to highlight the wealth on offer, Bullet enlisted the support of several stately homes, including Althorp, Silverstone motor-racing circuit and several other heritage sites and gardens to offer behind the scenes access to the media. Press trips were pitched to a whole array of national press and consumer magazines and were attended by national newspapers, key travel bloggers and lifestyle magazines including The Sun, Forbes, The Sunday Independent and The Travel Magazine -resulting in extremely positive coverage for the county.
