John Arbon Textiles
John Arbon Textiles is an award winning textile business based in North Devon. The company makes luxury British socks and yarn produced from sheep and alpacas, many of which are grazed locally on Exmoor. Marrying contemporary design with traditional craft making, the socks are beautifully designed and knitted with the highest quality yarns. The yarn used is made on vintage machines at John Arbon Textiles’ mill in South Molton, Devon - one of only a handful of small-scale worsted spinning and processing mills that still exist in the UK today.
John Arbon Textiles briefed us to raise their profile to their key demographic of countryside lovers and walkers, in order to capitalise on the Christmas gift market and the winter period. As well as securing coverage in Xmas gift guides we focussed the campaign around features and competitions in niche media that would appeal to walkers and countryside lovers, such as The Country Man, Countryside Magazine, Candis and Devon Life.
The story of John Arbon Textiles impressed the producers of BBC’s Countryfile TV show who featured the family business on the programme. The public response to the programme was overwhelming, with hundreds of orders flooding in within a few hours. John and Juliet Arbon had to enlist the help of the villagers of Lynton, a small Devonshire seaside village, to help pack socks through the night to meet demand!
"We have been working with the team at Bullet for over 3 years now and they have always delivered great results for us. Professional, creative and results-driven, their campaigns have made a real difference to our business."
